Browns raises P. Matt Haack left the team during training. The Browns also elevate Riley Patterson from the practice squad.


Haack (6-0, 205), an Arizona State alum, is in his seventh NFL season. Haack was signed by Miami in 2017 as an undrafted free agent, and he has played in 98 games for the Dolphins (2017–20), Bills (2021), and Colts (2022) in his career. In his career, he has blasted 429 punts for 19,087 yards (44.5 average), 160 of which have landed inside the 20-yard line. Haack is going to wear 39.

Out of Memphis, Patterson (6-0, 195) is a third-year NFL player. After signing with the Vikings in 2021 as an undrafted free agent, Patterson has played in 37 games for the Lions in 2021 and 2023 and the Jaguars in 2022. He has completed 87 out of 90 PATs and 58 out of 66 field goal attempts. He played in 13 games for the Lions this season, making 15 of 17 field goals. Patterson is going to don the 36.
