Another Dallas Cowboys Firing Victim’: Coach Frank Reich Out in Carolina

FRISCO – Following the Thanksgiving Day 45-10 rout of the Commanders by the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington team announced coaching changes. Head coach Ron Rivera, who was barely hanging on to his job, announced the dismissal of two staff members, including longtime defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio.

At the time, we proposed that if we were to play the Cowboys and lose badly, there might be “more damage done to the NFL coaching fraternity once the 8-3 Cowboys are done doing their business.”

And now it is happened once more: after losing to Dallas on Sunday and falling to 1-10 after being destroyed five days prior to Thanksgiving, the Carolina Panthers fired head coach Frank Reich despite Reich having only been in the position for less than a year.

Who else might be shoved into the unemployment line by Dallas’ success?

Like we mentioned a few days ago…

Bill Belichick was embarrassed by Dallas earlier this year; the New England Patriots are eyeing change.

Brandon Staley’s Los Angeles Chargers lost a home game to Dallas earlier this year.

The New York Giants’ Brian Daboll? seat? If he’s on the hot seat, two blowout losses at the hands of the Cowboys have contributed.

The Buffalo Bills are now a disappointment. … and coach Sean McDermott plays host to Dallas late in the year.

We still hear so much junk coming out of the national media about the possibility of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones firing Mike McCarthy. Dallas is actually a contributing factor in the firing of coaches, so it is even more unfair than before.
