Breaking News: a player for alabama anouns his departure …

Former Alabama Linebacker Demouy Kennedy Has Revealed His Transfer Location

Former Alabama linebacker Demouy Kennedy stated on Wednesday morning that he was transferring to Deion Sanders and Colorado after putting his name into the portal on January 17.

From 2020 to 2022, Kennedy played three seasons for the Crimson Tide. In 24 games, he recorded eight total tackles, making him a valuable member of the special teams.

On October 1, 2022, Kennedy sustained an injury that ended his season against Arkansas.

Kennedy was the top player from Alabama and the third-ranked ILB in the 2020 class as a prospect. Kennedy attended Theodore High School to play high school basketball.

Many thought Kennedy, one of the most athletic linebackers in the class, would definitely have a chance to play for head coach Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide upon arriving in Tuscaloosa.

He never did, though, get much playing time on an experienced, talented Alabama defensive.

His departure surprised a lot of Crimson Tide supporters because Alabama’s linebacking unit will require a lot of replacements in 2023–2024. Will Anderson Jr., Jaylen Moody, and Henry To’o To’o will not be returning to the Crimson Tide this season.

Kennedy is the most recent addition to the Buffaloes and has pledged allegiance to Sanders.
