Former Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord was rumored to be on his way to Nebraska just a few days ago. That has all changed, though, reportedly, and McCord is now looking at alternative choices.
It’s always difficult to predict a kid’s compatibility with his family and what will ultimately determine whether or not they transfer, but shortly after McCord’s visit to Lincoln, it was revealed that 5-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, a former OSU commit, was also thinking about the Cornhuskers after initially committing to Georgia.
You can bet that McCord would not be looking to transfer to a place just to sit and insert himself into a heated battle once again, especially after leaving the Buckeyes, where the competition would likely be open going into the Cotton Bowl and into the following season. Who knows if that factored into the decision?
And what is McCord possibly gazing at right now? Who knows, but there have been whispers to pay attention to Syracuse.

After visiting Lincoln earlier this week with former Ohio State wide receiver Julian Fleming, Nebraska was thought to be the front-runner to sign the former Ohio State quarterback. However, various reports indicate that McCord has now chosen to look into other possibilities.
McCord has not yet made visits to any other colleges, thus it is unknown where he will end up. But Tom Loy of 247Sports claimed that he was “told to keep a very close eye on Syracuse” as a possible McCord destination.
