Deal: South Carolina lands transfer WR from Coastal Carolina…

South Carolina has added more receivers after losing receiver after receiver in recent weeks.

Wide receiver Jared Brown, a transfer from Coastal Carolina, announced his commitment to the Gamecocks on Monday, telling On3. On Monday, he was USC’s second pledge.

Jerome Simmons, a defensive lineman for JUCO, also declared his intention to attend USC.

Brown told On3 Sports Pete Nakos, It was the perfect fit for me because they made me feel like I was at home as soon as I walked on campus.

I had excellent service from the workers during my visit. I can picture myself having fun and forming enduring friendships here.

After a strong career with the Chanticleers, the 6-foot, 190-pound pass catcher will enroll at South Carolina with two seasons of eligibility. The native of Georgia caught 58 catches for 740 yards and four touchdowns the previous season.

Nakos claims that Brown scheduled visits with Auburn and Louisville but canceled them after spending the weekend in Columbia.

For a South Carolina team with an abundance of bodies in its wide receiver room, the news is greatly appreciated.

Leading receiver Xavier Legette of the Gamecocks was selected in the NFL Draft. As for Ahmarean Brown, I agree. Juice Wells was the most high-profile departure via the transfer site, but the Gamecocks also lost O’Mega Blake, Kylic Horton, Landon Samson, and Zavier Short.
