injury news: Green Bay Packers: Former wide receiver and six-time Pro Bowler thinks he can help C…..

The Green Bay Packers are looking ahead to a Monday Night Football showdown against the New York Giants in Week 14. They are riding a wave of confidence following their Week 13 victory over the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Sunday Night. Now at 6-6, the Packers have a real shot at making the NFL Playoffs. As it stands currently, they hold the seventh and final spot in the NFC.

Their victory over the Chiefs, though, saw Green Bay lose one of their top playmakers. Christian Watson went down with a hamstring injury and did not return. He has not been a participant in practice this week, and his status for the Monday Night showdown against the Giants is in doubt.

The injury could not have come at a worse time for Watson. In his previous two games (including the game against Kansas City), Watson recorded 16 receptions for 165 yards and three touchdowns. After a slow start to the season that saw him miss the Packers’ first three games due to a different hamstring injury, it appeared that he and quarterback Jordan Love had finally gotten on the same page.
