Aston Villa are reportedly prepared to activate the relegation release clause of Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams.
According to reports, the USA international’s contract includes a provision allowing him to leave if a specific sum is provided. Mail Online claims the amount is close to £25 million, and Villa is ready to trigger the clause.
The 24-year-old midfielder’s “energy and dynamism” are apparently admired by Villa, who are supposedly awaiting a response from him. The article asserts that they are not the only ones with this interest, though.
It says that Nottingham Forest, Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham United, and Chelsea have all inquired about him. After moving to Leeds permanently from RB Leipzig last summer, the midfielder made 26 appearances for the club in 2017.

Injury curtailed his maiden Premier League campaign but he still endeared himself to the Elland Road faithful, impressing with a series of all-action midfield displays.
There has already been a spate of departures in West Yorkshire, with the likes of Adam Forshaw and Rodrigo having left Elland Road.
