The Bulldogs are reportedly set to add current North Sydney Bears coach Jason Taylor to their ranks for the 2024 season.

Taylor has previously held coaching positions at the Rabbitohs, Eels and Tigers before joining the NSW Cup side in September 2018.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Taylor’s deal is almost finalised after a meeting in Belmore earlier this month.

Taylor coached the Bears during this year’s NSW Cup grand final, going down to the Rabbitohs 22-18.

His last NRL head coaching role was with the Tigers, being appointed head coach in 2014 before he was ultimately sacked in 2017.

Taylor could take the place or join this year’s assistant duo of Chad Randall and Mick Potter.

Potter stepped in as interim coach in 2022 after Trent Barrett was sacked following a string of poor performances.
